Multivendor E-Commerce
A high-performance multivendor e-commerce platform designed to support multiple sellers, customers and administrators from a single system. The platform includes 38+ modules covering vendor management, product listings, order processing, commission handling, wallet system, reporting dashboards, customer portal and admin controls.

Project overview
At a glance
Our client needed a marketplace that could host many vendors without burning a hole in cloud budgets.
We shipped a 38-module multivendor platform optimised for low-resource servers.
It runs fast, scales gracefully and gives every role the tools they need.
What we solved
Real challenges, real solutions
- 1
Off-the-shelf marketplace platforms were too heavy and expensive to host at the client's scale.
- 2
Vendors needed self-serve onboarding, payouts and analytics rather than admin-managed processes.
- 3
Customers expected a unified cart and checkout experience even when buying from multiple vendors.
Our approach
How we worked
We started with the order and payout flow because that is where marketplaces live or die. Vendor and storefront features were then layered on top, validated weekly with pilot vendors before opening to the public.
Delivery stages

- 02Order & wallet core

Technical breakdown
How we built it
The marketplace is engineered for low resource consumption and high throughput. We use a server-rendered Next.js storefront, a Node.js API gateway and modular services for vendor, catalog, order, wallet and reporting domains. MySQL stores transactional data with carefully indexed schemas and partitioned tables for orders. Redis powers caching and session management. Vendors onboard through a self-serve flow with KYC, document upload and bank/payout setup. Catalog tooling supports variants, attributes, bulk CSV upload, image optimisation and category-based commission rules. Order workflows track payment, fulfilment, returns and refunds, with split payouts to the right vendor wallet. Admin dashboards visualise GMV, take rate, top vendors, top products and customer lifetime value. The customer portal includes wishlist, multi-vendor cart, order tracking and reviews. Built-in SEO (clean URLs, schema, sitemaps), CDN, and image optimisation keep the storefront fast even on modest infrastructure.
Impact & results
What we delivered
Storefront pages load under 1.5 seconds even on entry-level VPS hosting. Vendor onboarding is fully self-serve, and commission reconciliation is automated end to end.
